What a beautiful and great full heritage we have as the srilankans. Gatabaru  is the most famous and most powerful place  in Sri Lanka. It is situated Matara District. Gatabaru Dewalaya and Gatabaru temple are famous  because of Gatabaru God.    Gatabaru god protect the Deniyaya aria. So peoples who live in Deniyaya believe like that.& says Deniyaya is Gatabaru adawiya.


GATABARU PERAHARA
 Every year they go to perahara on behalf of Gatabaru god. Gatabaru Dewalaya situated near kotapola town at deniyaya . There is a big mountain.it is called  GatabaruKanda and Gatabaru Dewalaya Situated top of the Gatabaru Kanda. 

72km distance from galle to gatabaru Dewalaya.

This was in return for the help and protection he offered to king Walagamba while the king was in hiding in the two regions Ruhunu and Maya, organizing armies to bring the nation under a single rule. An indication of the close link between king Walagamba and god Rajjuru Bandara is given by statues of god Basnahira, which are found only in places of worship built by king walagamba.

👹️Embekke Devalaya👺

  Embekke Devale, famed for its elaborate woodcarvings, pillars and other structures, nestle in the Udu Nuwara. It lies close to Daulagala about eight miles from Kandy. Enticing Wood carvings – The UNESCO has identified these marvellous but elaborate carvings on wooden pillars to be the finest products of woodcarvings to be found in any part of the world. Many are the hoary legends that tell of the origins of this splendid devale. According to archaic documents and the epic Embekke Varnanawa composed by Delgahagoda Mudiyanse, it was built during the Gampola period of King Wickrema Bahu II (1371 AD). One of his consorts named Henakanda Biso Bandara, in association with a drummer named as Rangama, as told in a miraculous dream, is supposed to have built this Devale dedicated to God Kataragama in a superb three-storeyed building which is now no more.
